This policy explains how Frontier Intelligence LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the AIDating mobile app and this website (together, the "Service").

Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: username, email address, phone number, password (stored only as a one-way hash), date of birth and gender.
- Profile content: photos and videos you upload, profile text, your country, city or postal code, and your answers to compatibility questions and preferences.
- Messages: chats you exchange with your matches.
- Support requests: what you send when you contact us.
Information created when you use the Service
- Activity: likes, passes, ratings, matches, people you block or hide, and your settings.
- Location: an approximate location derived from the postal code or city you provide, and your device location only if you grant permission.
- Technical data: IP address, device and app version, and logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service.
The app accesses your camera or photo library only when you choose to take or upload a photo.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account, including verifying your phone number and resetting your password.
- To suggest compatible matches, using your profile, answers, preferences, location and activity.
- To deliver messages between matches and show your profile to other members.
- To keep the Service safe: preventing fraud, spam and abuse, and enforcing our Terms.
- To operate, maintain and improve the Service.
- To test and evaluate the AI models that suggest matches, using member photos and the ratings members give, so we can measure how well the models perform. See AI model evaluation.
AI model evaluation
AIDating uses AI models to suggest compatible matches. To check that these models work well, we evaluate them against member photos and the ratings members give to photos and profiles. This happens on our own systems and service providers acting for us; we do not sell this data or give it to third parties to build their own products.
You can object to your photos and ratings being used for model evaluation by emailing support@getaidating.com. Objecting does not affect your ability to use the Service. If we start using member data to train models, we will update this policy before doing so.
Text messages (SMS)
We use your phone number to send one-time verification codes when you sign up and, if you ask, password reset codes. We do not send marketing text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing described in this policy and will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
- With other members: your profile (photos, username, age, approximate location and profile content) is shown to other members. Messages are visible to the matches you send them to. Your email address and phone number are not shown to other members.
- With service providers who process data for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, databases, and delivery of text messages and email), and the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service (to convert a postal code or city into map coordinates).
- For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our members, the public or us.
- In a business transfer: if the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it to comply with law, resolve disputes or prevent abuse. Verification codes expire within minutes, and delivery logs that contain phone numbers are kept for 30 days.
Security
We use encryption in transit, restricted access to production systems and other safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile in the app and delete your account from Settings. You can also ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by contacting support@getaidating.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
EEA, UK and Switzerland: you also have the right to object to or restrict processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. We process your information to provide the Service you asked for (contract), to keep it safe and improve it (legitimate interests), with your consent where required, and to meet legal obligations.
California and other US states: you have the right to know, correct and delete personal information and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
International transfers
The Service is hosted in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, with appropriate safeguards where required.
Age requirement
AIDating is only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete accounts we find belong to minors.
Changes
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
